Welcome to the website of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney.
The Consulate-General was established on 19 March, 1979, with its consular district covering the state of New South Wales. As the oldest, most populous and prosperous state in Australia, NSW was the first to establish a sister-state relationship with China, and it currently has the highest number of sister-city and sister-state relationships with China. China has long been NSW’s largest trading partner, the largest source of imports, and the largest export market for services. In recent years, exchanges between China and NSW have strengthened, fortifying friendship and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation for more outcomes and a promising future.
My colleagues at the Consulate-General and I are ready to work earnestly with friends from all sectors in the consular district to actively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries. Together, we aim to further advance exchanges and cooperation in fields such as politics, economy, science and technology, culture, education, and tourism, contributing to a more mature, stable, and fruitful China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership. We will continue to fulfill our duties to provide consular protection for Chinese citizens and institutions, and offer high-quality consular services to both Chinese and foreign citizens.
We warmly welcome you to visit our website and social media accounts and actively engage with us.
Wang Yu
