On May 3rd, Consul General H.E. Zhou Limin met with the children of former Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam, including his eldest son the Hon. Antony Whitlam KC, his second son Nicholas Whitlam, his daughter Catherine Dovey, and their respective spouses.

Consul General Zhou highly praised former Prime Minister Whitlam's contribution to the development of China-Australia relations, emphasizing the important achievements of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and fully expounding the significance of Chinese modernization. He emphasized that Chinese modernization will bring more cooperation opportunities to countries around the world, including Australia, and will become the shared wealth of the world. He hoped that they would continue to play an active role in promoting practical and friendly cooperation between China and New South Wales, and make greater contributions to the sound and stable development of China-Australia relations.
