17th April, the “Travel East Experience the Best” Picturesque Zhejiang (Australia) Culture and Tourism Promotion was held in Sydney. H.E. Consul General Wang Yu attended and delivered remarks, accompanied by Yue Liwen, Counsellor-rank Consul for cultural affairs.

Consul General Wang Yu stated that people-to-people exchange is the foundation of friendly state-to-state relations, and cultural and tourism cooperation serves as an important bridge connecting the hearts of the Chinese and Australian peoples. The Consulate-General of China in Sydney highly values practical sub-national cooperation in culture and tourism between China and Australia. We stand ready to work with all sectors to deepen exchanges, expand and upgrade cooperation, and welcome more Australian friends to visit Zhejiang to experience the unique charm of China’s landscapes and culture.

Through video presentations, cultural performances, photo exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage displays and other forms, the event vividly showcased Zhejiang’s rich tourism resources, intangible cultural heritage and high-quality tourism services. Around 200 guests, including representatives from Tourism Australia, the Australian Tourism Industry Council and local travel agencies, attended the event.
