Mr. Zhou Limin Assumes Duty as the New Chinese Consul General in Sydney

On 13 October, H.E. Mr. Zhou Limin arrived in Sydney as the new Consul General (Ambassadorial Rank) of the People’s Republic of China.

Upon assumption of his duty, Consul General Zhou spoke highly of the leading role played by New South Wales in developing relations with China among Australian states and territories. He expressed his willingness to work with colleagues at the Consulate General to promote friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Chinese side and NSW in various fields, with a view to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and Australian peoples. The Consulate General will also do its utmost to protect the legal rights and interests of Chinese citizens and enterprises in NSW in accordance with the law, and provide high quality consular service to both Chinese citizens and foreigners.

Consul General Zhou is currently working from home, and he looks forward to meeting friends from all walks of life in NSW after the 14-day self-quarantine.
