According to the reciprocal arrangement between China and Australia regarding the access to 5-year multi-entry visas for business, tourism and family visits, starting from June 21 2024, the Embassy and Consulates of China in Australia issue 5-year multi-entry visas to Australian citizens who hold valid ordinary passports of Australia and meet all relevant requirements, to visit China for business, tourism or visiting family members. All the visa applications will be handled by the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre within Australia.

For Australian personnel who do not meet the requirements, the current regulations will still be followed.
