|Consul General Li Huaxin Called on the Premier of NSW|
On May 22, Consul General Li Huaxin paid an official call on Mr. Barry O’Farrell, Premier of NSW.
Mr. O’Farrell gave warm welcome to the Consul General, and stressed that the Government of NSW highly values its relationship with China. “I believe the links between us bring benefit to people on both sides,” the Premier said, “and the ceremony of lighting the Sydney Opera House red to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, demonstrates the commitment of NSW Government in developing a strong relationship with China.”
Mr. Li also spoke highly of the current China-NSW relations. “I’m impressed by the vigor and activeness of our bilateral ties,” he said. “With the direct trading of RMB and Australian Dollar, and the soon to be announced extension of UnionPay use in local transactions, our two-way exchanges will be further boosted, and the Chinese Consulate General will always work to strengthen our cooperation in various fields.”
Deputy Consul General Liu Kan was present in the meeting.
