Consul General Duan Jielong Attended Chinese New Year Festival in Willoughby

At the invitation of Mayor Pat Reilly, Consul General Duan Jielong attended the Chinese New Year Festival in Willoughby on 21 January.

Mr. Duan sent his best wishes to the local Chinese community and all residents in Willoughby. He said that the Chinese Government highly values its friendly cooperation with Australia, and the coming 40th Anniversary of diplomatic ties will further promote the bilateral relationship. He stressed that China will always follow the path of peaceful development, and stand ready to work with all friendly countries and peoples to promote common development, progress, prosperity and peace.

Willoughby city councilors, representatives from business and cultural institutions, Chinese community and local residents attended the Festival.
