Consul General Duan Jielong Visited Burwood and Kogarah

At the invitation of Councillor John Faker, Mayor of Burwood, and Councillor Nickolas Varvaris, Mayor of Kogarah, Consul General Duan Jielong recently paid respective visits to the two cities.

The Consul General was warmly welcomed in both cities. Councillor Faker and Councillor Varvaris briefed Mr. Duan on the general information of their cities, and pledged their full support for a better relationship between NSW and China. Mr. Duan introduced the recent development of China, and said the Consulate General will continue to play an active role in facilitating closer ties between China and NSW.

The Consul General also visited the statue of Bruce Lee and Ma’anshan Friendship Garden, co-built by Kogarah and its sister cities Shunde and Ma’anshan in China.

Deputy Consul General Liu Kan attended the visits.
