Consul General Hu Shan visits Mosman and Liverpool

At the invitation of Councilor Anne Connon, Mayor for the City of Mosman, and Councilor Wendy Waller, Mayor for the City of Liverpool,H. E. Hu Shan, Chinese Consul General in Sydney paid respective offcial visits to the two cities. Mr. Hu and the two mayors had pleasant conversations about China-Australia relations, the relation between China and NSW and the two cities’ relations with China and Chinese cities.

Councilor Connon and Councilor Waller briefed Mr. Hu about Mosman and Liverpool and their history of China relations. The two mayors pledged to continue their efforts in promoting the exchange and cooperation between Mosman, Liverpool and relevant Chinese cities, which would hopefully receive strong support and guidance from the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney.

Mr. Hu made an introduction of the recent development of the China-Australia relationship and that between China and the State of New South Wales. He spoke especially highly of the efforts by Mrs. Connon and her fellow councilors in promoting Mosman’s substantial friendly exchange and cooperation with its sister-city Mudanjiang in China. Mr. Hu pledged his one-hundred-percent support and promised to do his uttermost to assist.
