Consul General Hu Shan visits Woollahra and Hornsby

At the invitation of Councilor Andrew Petrie, Mayor for the Municipality of Woollahra, and Councilor Nick Berman, Mayor for the Hornsby Shire, H. E. Hu Shan, Chinese Consul General in Sydney paid respective visits to the two of New South Wales’s local governmental areas. Mr. Hu and the two mayors had pleasant conversations about China-Australia relations and the two cities’ plans to develop China relations.

Mr. Andrew Petrie and Mr. Nick Berman briefed Mr. Hu about Woollahra and Hornsby and their history of China relations. The two mayors pledged to continue their efforts in promoting the exchange and cooperation between Woollahra, Hornsby and relevant Chinese cities, which would hopefully receive strong support and guidance from the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney.

Mr. Hu made an introduction of the recent development of the China-Australia relationship and that between China and the State of New South Wales. He spoke highly of the efforts by Mr. Andrew Petrie and Mr. Nick Berman in promoting Woollahra’s and Hornsby’s China relations. Mr. Hu pledged his one-hundred-percent support and promised to do his uttermost to assist.
